Conan Castro and the Moonshine Piñatas - nova banda do Barreiro

Formados em 2014, os Conan Castro and the Moonshine Piñatas emergiram na cena musical barreirense com o único e humilde objectivo de gravar um tema para integrar a compilação anual deste blog. Compostos por membros de bandas pré-existentes e também por algumas estreias absolutas nestas lides, os CCMP atingiram o seu objetivo logo no primeiro ensaio com a música “Cancún”. A química que ali fluiu entre os seus elementos acabou por os aliciar, no entanto, a prosseguir com o projeto sem traçar quaisquer outros objetivos para além da indómita vontade de compor canções e de inebriar audiências pelo mundo fora com o seu rock’n’roll febril e tropical.

Assumindo-se como a primeira banda do género Vomit-Mexican-American-Garage-Punk-Rock, os Conan Castro and the Moonshine Piñatas são compostos por cinco destemidos Castros que vos prometem conduzir até um imaginário de sons hipnotizantes e de elementos musicais cujas raízes nos remetem para a fronteira México/Estados Unidos. A bateria, as guitarras, o baixo e a voz revoltada dão o corpo a uma banda sonora perfeita para todos os que ambicionam um dia cruzar ilegalmente uma fronteira.

O seu álbum de estreia, “Cataplana América”, editado pela Hey! Pachuco Records, constitui o pretexto ideal para assistir ao vivo à atuação de uma banda que promete oferecer um espetáculo de pura adrenalina e de celebração do espírito do rock’n’roll.
